Digital infrastructure

Digitalization opens up new opportunities for the people of Thuringia – in everyday life, in their careers, and in their participation in society. A prerequisite for this is a high-performance digital infrastructure as a cornerstone of a digital society and a digitized economy.

With the Digital Infrastructure Information Center, we determine the current state of broadband coverage in a practical and up-to-date manner. This provides a sound basis for further government action in the Free State of Thuringia.

We support government agencies, Thuringian citizens, and companies with technical expertise in operational processes related to the expansion of digital infrastructure. A key foundation for this is the visual presentation and provision of information on current broadband availability.

Based on our diverse expertise, we also provide strategic support to the Free State of Thuringia in the development of needs-based, convergent networks. This includes considering the development and expansion of high-performance mobile networks. Because alongside wired digital infrastructure, the most comprehensive possible network coverage is becoming increasingly important in everyday life.
