We shape the future – together with the people in Thuringia. Responsibility for the environment, society, and fair coexistence shapes our daily actions. Sustainability, diversity, and social commitment are not just guidelines for us, but a lived attitude.

We want to make a contribution that has an impact today and lasts tomorrow. Our commitment is an ongoing process. We continue to develop, set new impulses, and work together to sustainably strengthen Thuringia.

Diversity is our strength.

Under our roof, people from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives work together on new solutions.

LEG carries TOTAL E-QUALITY label. Equal opportunity in the workplace.

With a variety of measures, we promote diversity, work-life balance, gender equality, and health maintenance in our company. Examples include the company-owned daycare center in Brühl, the LEG summer school, various preventive care offers, and a comprehensive potential development program. For our commitment, we have regularly received the TOTAL E-QUALITY award, which is awarded by the association of the same name. In October 2022, we hosted with our COMCENTER Brühl the nationwide award ceremony.

Social commitment lived. We bear responsibility: Not for ourselves alone.

How we understand sustainability.

As a company, we are part of society. That is why it is important to us to contribute to solving social concerns beyond our business activities. Therefore, we initiate and support a number of projects that serve the common good. We are proud of the great willingness among our workforce to get involved in social matters, whether through in-kind and monetary donations or through practical work.

Our projects

  • LEG Sommerschule

The "LEG-Sommerschule“ offers childcare during the Thuringian school holidays with a diverse leisure program. Parents and children can choose between on-site care and a stay at a holiday camp, and flexibly combine both options. The provider is the association "LEG-Sommerschule Unternehmen engagieren sich für Familie e. V.“ The association pursues these goals:

    • Improving the compatibility of work and family
    • meaningful leisure activities for children between 6 and 14 years old
    • Combining games and experiential learning

    Further information

  • Bummi department store For families in need

It has become a good tradition that we support the Bummi department store with in-kind donations from our staff during the Christmas season. Boxes of toys, clothing, books and much more go to the social department store run by the AWO in Erfurt.

Here, parents with low income can shop for their little ones. For many, this is the only way to surprise their loved ones with a nice gift under the Christmas tree.

  • Planting a forest of the future For the green Thuringia of tomorrow

Autumn is planting time – also for our employees: Since 2021, together with other Thuringian companies, the German Forest Protection Association, and selected Thuringian municipalities, we have been grabbing spades and shovels. Around 1,500 young trees are planted annually, so that our country remains green instead of gray in the future. New forests are already growing in Azmannsdorf, Töttelstädt, Haßleben, and Hochstedt.
