Information on Accessibility

As LEG Thüringen , we strive to make our websites accessible to as many people as possible in accordance with the national legal provisions implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the European Council.

Which areas are not barrier-free?

We are continuously working to make all areas of our websites as accessible as possible. Currently, our online presence is not yet fully accessible in the following areas:

  • PDF documents in the LEG download area that were uploaded before 2021. PDF files uploaded later are increasingly created in an accessible version or replaced by such a version as quickly as possible. All files are marked accordingly.
  • Subtitles for videos. For newly uploaded videos, we strive to provide subtitles as soon as possible after publication, so that our video material is as accessible as possible.
  • HTML structural elements: The tile elements in the (mostly) upper area of our websites are not fully accessible because the element is not implemented as a list.
  • Contrast: Individual elements have insufficient contrast.
  • Language barrier: For individual words (primarily in headings), no corresponding language marking has yet been stored, meaning that the output of content using a screen reader is not fully accessible.
  • Teaser texts (Point Focus): The text of the teaser cannot currently be accessed using the keyboard. Additionally, there is no visible keyboard focus for certain elements in the focus area.
  • Error marking: The error marking in forms is not fully accessible.
  • Syntax analysis: The syntax of the HTML code does not comply with W3C standards in certain parts.
  • Name, Role, Value: The control element of the dots in the carousel display area is currently not equipped with the appropriate attributes to technically convert it from a content element to a control element.

Arbitration procedure

At the Federal Government Commissioner for the Affairs of Persons with Disabilities, there is an arbitration board pursuant to § 16 BGG. The task of the arbitration board is to resolve conflicts between persons with disabilities and federal public bodies.

You can contact the arbitration board if you are not satisfied with the responses from the aforementioned Contactmöglichkeit. The aim is not to find winners or losers. Rather, the goal is to find a solution to a problem together and out of court with the help of the arbitration board.

The arbitration procedure is free of charge. You do not need legal representation either.

On the website of the arbitration board you will find all information about the arbitration procedure. There you can read how an arbitration procedure works and how to submit the application for arbitration. You can also submit the application in plain language or in German Sign Language.

You can reach the arbitration board at the following address:
