What does the AG do?

The name of the working group "Living and Housing in the City" reflects the complexity of the task of sustainably strengthening city centers. Since the founding of the alliance, the goal of initiating and establishing this working group has been to create an effective working structure for developing sustainable strategies and to integrate the diverse stakeholders necessary for this process. The working group meets regularly for consultations, professional exchange, knowledge transfer, and the development of pilot projects. A total of 11 working group meetings took place up to March 2023.

Goals

The sustainable strengthening of the functionality of Thuringia's city centers is a central goal of the working group's activities within the action alliance. Addressing the current challenges of sustainably revitalizing Thuringia's city centers, the working group facilitates comprehensive information exchange and knowledge transfer, as well as the conceptualization and development of pilot projects and exemplary measures intended for application in Thuringia's large, medium-sized, and small cities. This work builds upon experiences and results from urban development in different types of cities and focuses on priority areas for action and measures.
