Exhibition "Mobility stations and bus stops"

A joint project of the working groups "Transport infrastructure and mobility in the context of spatial development" and 3 "Road-based public transport and integrated regular-interval timetable" in the Thuringian Mobility Network.

Background: Students of the Bauhaus University Weimar in the Faculty of Art and Design at the Chair of Industrial Design under Prof. Mühlenberend have dealt with the bus stop as a design task and developed several drafts in different sizes.

At the Erfurt University of Applied Sciences, students of the Faculty of Economics, Logistics, and Transport at the Department of Rail Transport (especially planning of transport services) under the direction of Prof. Dr. Große developed concepts for mobility stations in Thuringia as well as criteria for their need and equipment.

Students of the TU Ilmenau at the Institute for Media Technology, Department of User-Centered Analysis of Multimedia Data, under the direction of Prof. Dr. Hirth and Dr. Mayas, have dealt with the user-centered optimization of mobility stations. The focus included, among other things, the conception of seamless and barrier-free passenger information.

The results of the approximately 30 participants in the project are available as drawings, models, or as digitally experienceable 3D models via VR goggles.
