    • Campaign Development

      To specifically support the mobility sector in attracting skilled workers in Thuringia and to address its current challenges such as demographic change, the transport transition, and digitalization, the temporary working group 5 “Campaign for Skilled Worker Recruitment in Public Transport” of the Thuringian Mobility Network (TMN) was established in summer 2024. The contractor is Thuringian Agency for Skilled Worker Recruitment (ThAFF) at the LEG. The goals of the project are to record the specific skilled labor needs in Thuringian public transport companies, to conduct targeted action days to network the industry with potential future skilled workers (including career changers and students), and to carry out a media-effective marketing campaign (print and social media).

      • Cooperation with relevant stakeholders

        Objective: Close cooperation with HR managers and managing directors as well as associations in public transport to optimize personnel recruitment

        Measures: Development of joint measures to increase employer attractiveness, regular Contact to companies to inform about the current status

      • Organization of Information Events

        Objective: Information exchange for the UN through targeted digital events in the Thuringian planning regions

        Measures: Select topics based on the needs analysis to offer exchange on challenges and solutions for the UN to inform the status

      • Action days for potential applicants

        Objective: Early outreach to young professionals and career changers through practical insights into public transport

        Measures: Participation in various events to address potential workers on the market, to disseminate information about the Career opportunities

      • Public Relations & Marketing Campaigns

        Objective: Increasing the visibility of the project and enhancing the attractiveness of public transport as an employer

        Measures: Creation of a dedicated landing page to publish the collected information, use of social media platforms, development of advertising materials to draw attention to the project

      • Networking & Presentation

        Objective: Collaboration with multipliers and partner organizations to better disseminate the project

        Measures: Presentation of project results at relevant events, use of networks for recruiting skilled workers, promotional materials to draw attention to the project

      • Digital Directory for International Skilled Workers

        Objective: Support for public transport companies in recruiting foreign skilled workers

        Measures: Creation of an online directory with relevant companies on the landing page, ongoing updates with new offers & partners to steer the project

      • Reporting & Evaluation

        Objective: Ensuring project results and continuous optimization of measures

        Measures: Interim report on project progress (January 2025), final report with success evaluation & recommendations (July 2025) to draw attention to the project

    Project "Campaign for Skilled Worker Recruitment in Public Transport“

    To specifically support the Thuringian mobility sector in attracting skilled workers and to address current challenges such as demographic change, the transport transition, and digitalization, the temporary working group 5 “Campaign for Skilled Worker Recruitment in Public Transport” was established in summer 2024. The contractor is the Thuringian Agency for Skilled Worker Recruitment (ThAFF) at the LEG Thüringen. 

    Project objectives:
    Within the scope of the project, the aim is to record the specific skilled labor needs in Thuringian public transport companies, to implement targeted action days for networking the industry with potential skilled workers (including career changers and school students), as well as a media-effective marketing campaign (print and social media). These project strands are to be implemented by July 2025. In order to increase the effectiveness of the campaign for attracting skilled workers in public transport, a continuation of AG 5 beyond the current contract period is being considered based on the evaluation results.
