Brief introduction of the alliance partner
Department 3 is responsible for energy and climate. Unit 35 deals with climate change and its consequences, with a particular focus on climate adaptation.
The TMUEN is responsible for the following areas:
Department 2: Technical Environmental Protection, Water Management, Mining
Department 3: Energy and Climate
Department 4: Nature Conservation and Sustainability
Focus of the alliance partner within the framework of the alliance
Protecting our natural resources is directly linked to mitigating climate change. Climate change has made adaptation to it one of the greatest challenges of our time.
Department 35 therefore provides various tools:
- Climate impact monitoring report: updated every 5 years
- IMPACT I & II: presents 47 adaptation measures from relevant fields of action
- Promoting climate change adaptation in municipalities as a key future and precautionary task through the three-pronged approach of ReKIS – Climate Guidelines – Climate Investment
