Brief introduction of the alliance partner
The Erfurt Chamber of Skilled Crafts and Trades serves all craft businesses and related trades in Central and Northern Thuringia. The Erfurt Chamber is an administrative body that also acts as a service provider, advocate, and training center for craft businesses within its district. This district includes the rural districts of Sömmerda, Gotha, Nordhausen, Unstrut-Hainich, Kyffhäuser, Eichsfeld, Weimarer Land, and Ilm, as well as the independent cities of Erfurt and Weimar.
Focus of the alliance partner within the framework of the alliance
Craft businesses play a major role in climate protection and the associated climate adaptation of city centers. They are responsible for the energy-efficient renovation of buildings and the installation of CO₂ reduction systems2The Erfurt Chamber of Skilled Crafts is responsible for the installation of low-emission heating systems and photovoltaic systems. Adapting to the changing climate is only possible with and through skilled trades. As the voice of skilled trades, the Erfurt Chamber of Skilled Crafts advocates for strong participation of craft businesses in the transformation process and therefore supports the goals of the Thuringian alliance "City Centers with a Future".
