Brief introduction of the alliance partner
The Erfurt Chamber of Skilled Crafts supports all craft businesses as well as businesses in craft-related trades in Central and Northern Thuringia. The Erfurt Chamber of Skilled Crafts is an administrative institution that also acts as a service provider, an interest representative, and an educational workshop for craft businesses in the Erfurt chamber district. The chamber district includes the districts of Sömmerda, Gotha, Nordhausen, Unstrut-Hainich-Kreis, Kyffhäuserkreis, Eichsfeld, Weimarer Land, and Ilm-Kreis, as well as the independent cities of Erfurt and Weimar.
Focus of the alliance partner within the alliance
In the context of climate protection and the associated climate adaptation of city centers, craft enterprises play a major role. Craftsmen are responsible for the energy-efficient renovation of buildings, for the installation of CO2-poor heating systems and for the installation of photovoltaic systems. Adapting to the changing climate is only possible with and through the skilled trades. As the voice of the skilled trades, the Erfurt Chamber of Skilled Crafts advocates for strong participation of craft businesses in the transformation process and therefore supports the goals of the Thuringian Alliance "Inner Cities with a Future“.
