Eisenach
"Eisenach fascinates me with its impressive variety of cultural offerings: Lutherhaus and Bachhaus, the Automobile Welt Eisenach and Thuringian museums as well as, last but not least, the Wartburg as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and symbol of our rich history. I love the charming old town, which invites you to stroll and linger, and the surrounding nature with perfect opportunities for various outdoor activities. There is of course still potential for improvement: more short-term parking options on site, intergenerational recreation areas and sustainable concepts for environmentally friendly and climate-conscious urban development are desirable."

Bernd Jentsch
Erfurt
"What I particularly like about Erfurt are the many small street cafés in the old town, which give the city an almost Mediterranean flair. The hustle and bustle of tourists and their amazed looks when viewing the magnificent facades at Fischmarkt and in the alleys are also impressive. The colorful mix of merchants and boutiques invites you to stroll. What bothers me, however, is the city administration's rigorous approach to private traffic in the city; many parking spaces have been eliminated. In addition, the countless construction sites are annoying, making a drive through Erfurt by car a lottery.“

Gera
„Gera has a lot to offer. Exactly why I like this city.
There are many green spaces, the White Elster, exciting shops and gastronomy. Above all,
it is the people who are committed and work together. For several years, many
Business owners and representatives of the city administration regularly sit down at a table to discuss upcoming
to discuss events and current problems, but also, for example, to jointly decide on
to decide on open Sundays. This cooperation between the city administration and local businesses
fertilizes the development of the entire city. Unfortunately, one also feels in Gera the strong change
of the city centers. Some retail spaces are vacant. Ideas are already being worked on to fill them
can be filled with life again, but this development won't happen overnight.”

Erfurt
"Hey, I'm Franzi and I live in Erfurt. I love my city,
because it is the perfect mix of hustle and bustle and coziness. I always meet some familiar face,
whom I can smile at or have a quick chat with. I love browsing through small shops and discovering
to discover the cultural engagements of the scene at various spots. I can easily cover the short distances
by bike - across the city it takes me just 20 minutes. Unfortunately, the
Pedestrian and cycling infrastructure is still far too short. Cycling - especially with or for kids - is often a
daring undertaking. I also hope that we can create a good balance between small, creative nooks and
shops and large chains.“

"From the perspective of an urban and regional developer, but also as a city resident of a small metropolis in the middle of paradise, Jena is for me: spectacular when viewed from the Jentower, sporty from the Saale to the Kernberge, lively from Schillergäßchen to Wagnergasse, exciting around the new cultural quarter at the Theaterhaus, and not least special when the city community engages with the future of the city center. "

Mühlhausen
“Mühlhausen - that is a city with a medieval character,
which, due to its location, has a strong proximity to regional producers and nature.
Mühlhausen is pure, honest, and unpretentious and offers many people a home worth living in. As
As a returnee, I know that there is vacancy not only in Mühlhausen, but also in many other cities
and there are vacant properties and hotspot neighborhoods, that is also the case here. That is why I wish that we work together on solutions
work together so that families can continue to live happily here.“
