Brief introduction of the alliance partner
The East Thuringian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK Ostthüringen) systematically, continuously, and comprehensively represents the overall interests of the commercial sector to policymakers and government agencies, in accordance with Section 1, Paragraph 1 of the IHK Act. For approximately 34,000 member companies, we are a business-oriented service provider, a critical partner to policymakers, and an independent advocate for the market. We are committed to the success of our members and see ourselves as a driving force for the development of East Thuringia.
Focus of the alliance partner within the framework of the alliance
The strategic direction of East Thuringia's towns and municipalities requires cooperative concepts and their determined implementation. It is essential to network trade, hospitality, culture, industry, and regional mobility services; to support businesses and cities in the digitalization process; and to develop practical solutions for pressing problems such as inner-city vacancies.
