Living and working in Erfurt in a modern district with many jobs and very good infrastructure for families.
It is one of the largest urban development projects in Germany: Since the early 1990s, LEG has been transforming a 25-hectare former industrial site directly next to Erfurt Cathedral into a new urban district where people can live, work, experience culture, and spend their leisure time.
"Project success arises through collaboration."

Sabine Wosche Managing Director of LEG
„Our company made a clear commitment to the Brühl location as early as the end of the 1990s by consolidating all LEG business units in a building ensemble here. We built our own company daycare center in Brühl, which is largely also available to partner companies. The close cooperation with the state, the city administration of Erfurt, and private investors was decisive for the project's success throughout Brühl. Today, the area presents itself as a vibrant neighborhood that enriches the state capital!“
Steps for site development
Attractive apartments and locations for companies in Erfurt am Brühl
A groundbreaking turning point for the site's development was the construction of the Erfurt Theater in the middle of the area at the end of the 1990s. This was followed by the construction of a hotel, a medical center, various modern office buildings, and several senior citizen centers. Attractive housing options were created through the residential park on Rudolfstraße, the "Barbarossahof“ and complexes in the central and southern parts of the area. Former administrative buildings became the "Technical Town Hall“. A large brownfield site thus transformed into a bustling district. The project will be completed shortly with the conclusion of construction work at Gothaer Platz.
