India is the most populous nation in the world and a significant emerging economic power. The country is gaining strategic importance for Germany. In order to strengthen relations between Thuringia and India, enable companies to enter a dynamic growth market to enable and promote the establishment of long-term partnerships, we are organizing a delegation trip under the leadership of Thuringia's Minister President Mario Voigt

Binding registration for participation in the delegation trip to India 2026 is possible online until April 24, 2026. As the number of places is limited, we kindly ask you to register promptly.

Travel dates & costs

In addition to the individual travel costs (arrival and departure + hotel), a participation fee, incl. flat-rate catering costs of €550 per company/institution. This includes the organization of the entire program including briefings, all events, group visits and group transfer services as well as meals (shared meals) throughout the entire travel week.

It is recommended to book flights and hotels through our travel service provider Poppe Reisen GmbH & Co. KG to book. For the selected flight connection, group transfers from the airport to the hotel upon arrival and to the airport on the return flight day are organized. Participants are free to use other flight connections. Transfers to the hotel or to the airport on the arrival and return travel days must then be organized independently.

FAQ – Frequently asked questions about the delegation trip to India

  • Who can participate in the delegation trip to India?

    The trip is fundamentally open to all industries and is aimed at companies, institutions and multipliers from Thuringia. It is particularly relevant for companies in mechanical engineering, optics, medical technology, IT, energy & sustainability as well as for organizations with a need for skilled workers in industry and nursing.

  • How high are the participation fee and travel costs?

    The participation fee is 550 € per company/institution and includes the complete program organization as well as a catering flat rate. In addition, there are individually borne costs for flights (approx. €3,350 economy, €4,500 premium economy, €6,350 business).

  • Do I have to book flights and hotels through the recommended travel service provider?

    It is recommended to book flights via Poppe Reisen GmbH & Co. KG, but this is voluntary. When booking other flight connections, transfers on the day of arrival and departure must be organized independently.

    Booking hotels through the service provider is mandatory.

  • What advantages does the political support of the trip offer?

    Participation in connection with the Thuringian Minister President increases the visibility of your company, facilitates access to authorities, associations and decision-makers, and can act as a door opener for future major projects or funding programs.

  • Which stations will be visited?

    The delegation travels to Delhi, then Bhopal or Hyderabad, and finally Bangalore. The stations are specifically selected to provide insights into politics, economy, research, technology, and skilled worker programs.

  • What are typical program items on site?

    You will receive market briefings, meet companies and start-ups, visit industrial parks and innovation centers, learn best practices, and build networks for economic cooperation and talent acquisition.

  • By when is registration possible?

    The binding online registration is possible until April 17, 2026. Since the number of participants is limited, early registration recommended.
