With the Thuringian delegation trip to the MERCOSUR countries Argentina and Brazil from October 31 to November 7, led by Thuringia's Minister of Economic Affairs Colette Boos-John, new market opportunities in South America are being brought into focus. The background is the new EU-MERCOSUR agreement, which significantly facilitates economic exchange between Europe and South America. Visits to Buenos Aires, Porto Alegre, and Rio de Janeiro will open up access for Thuringian companies to key players from business, science, and politics. The aim of the trip is to facilitate market access for Thuringian companies, strengthen their strategic positioning, and help them identify suitable cooperation partners and opportunities in the region. The focus is on potential in the areas of innovation, technology, business, and science. You can find the registration option and further information on the event website.

The Thuringian business trip to Vietnam and Thailand from October 3 to 10 is aimed at companies and research institutions (particularly in the fields of sensor technology and Industry 4.0) that wish to benefit from the dynamic development of Southeast Asia. Both countries are part of the ASEAN economic area and are steadily gaining importance both as sales regions and as procurement markets. In addition, both countries offer themselves as cooperation partners for skilled worker projects. While Vietnam, with a Thuringian foreign office, has long been a focus of Thuringian support activities, Thailand has so far been rather rarely represented here. The trip offers the opportunity to get to know regional market structures in both countries, to establish business contacts, and to assess opportunities in one of the world's fastest-growing regions.
