Germany is Europe's leading market for healthcare and life sciences – and MEDICA in Düsseldorf is the annual industry event par excellence. With over 80,000 international trade visitors, it is, together with WHX| Arab Health in Dubai, one of the world's most important platforms for medical technology and life sciences. In 2026, Thuringia will be represented at MEDICA with two joint exhibition stands. Companies and research institutions from the Free State will thus have the opportunity to present themselves effectively. While the focus of the Thuringian joint stand in Hall 15 is on MedTech and devices, the stand in Hall 3 revolves entirely around the topics of laboratory and diagnostics.

Trade fair funding: How it works
Expression of interest
In the first step, you express your interest in participating in the Thuringian joint trade fair booth.
Apply for funding
Upon receipt of your expression of interest, you will receive a cost estimate from us. Please submit your funding application to the Thüringer Aufbaubank no later than two weeks after receiving the cost estimate.
Booth booking
The stand package can be finally booked as early as one day after submitting the electronic funding application. Book your trade fair package and additional services with Profairs, the booking tool of LEG Thüringen. You will receive the access data for Profairs from us.

Inventions from Thuringia include the patented mercury-free thermometer, the X-ray tube, and the microscope. Today, light-based methods for diagnosing and treating infectious diseases are a key focus.
