The CIOE is the largest international trade fair for optoelectronics and annually in September attracts manufacturers and experts from all over the world to Shenzhen. As part of the fair, they showcase the latest technologies and inventions in optics and laser technology, focusing on four areas

• Precision optics and
• LEDs. 

The trade fair is accompanied by an extensive conference program. The CIOE is thus an information, discussion and networking platform all in one.
