In November: Thuringian business delegations traveling in Vietnam, Azerbaijan, South Africa and Israel

No trace of a quiet autumn: Thuringian companies busy searching for international business opportunities

Led by Marcus Malsch, State Secretary in the Thuringian Ministry of Economics, Agriculture and Rural Areas, a delegation will visit Vietnam from November 2 to 8. The approximately 40 participants come from the Thuringian administration, associations and companies in the fields of industry, social economy and vocational training. They will visit the cities of Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City. The trip also takes place on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Germany.

From November 4 to 7, a Thuringian business delegation is exploring the Azerbaijani market for logistics and renewable energies. Together with the Eastern Committee of the German Economy e.V., LEG has been systematically organizing market exploration in the South Caucasus since 2023, a region that, due to its geographical location, is increasingly coming into geopolitical focus and benefiting from the development of new trade corridors.

For the second time, a Thuringian business delegation is visiting the Africa Tech Festival in South Africa. From November 9 to 16, the delegation will get to know the innovation hot spots in Cape Town and immerse themselves in the start-up scene. The Africa Tech Festival is the leading technology forum on the African continent. The travel program includes company visits and round tables on topics such as SpaceTech, Artificial Intelligence, IoT, digitalization, and start-up innovations.

Also on November 9, a Thuringian delegation of about 40 people will depart for Israel. It will be led by Thuringian Minister-President Mario Voigt and flanked by several Thuringian politicians and state secretaries from various departments – such as the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Ministry of the Interior. The agenda includes Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, where a visit to the Knesset is planned, among other things. The Thuringian economic delegation is primarily composed of companies from the optics and optoelectronics sector, but textile companies are also on board.
