Today, global players such as Daimler, Opel/PSA, Magna, Bosch, BMW, IHI or Borg Warner have all set up production in the Free State.
Thanks to its central location, Thuringia is never far from the automotive manufacturers of Germany and Europe. Alongside a number of major corporations, it is primarily the nimble mid-sized firms who are driving growth in this sector.
