The heart of ZEISS applications is an ultra-thin, transparent film on which ultra-high-precision optics are mounted in the smallest possible space. On this basis, holography solutions can be used in areas of life and technology where questions of installation space, cost, and weight previously did not permit this. In addition, a new ZEISS replication technology makes it possible to replicate a master hologram fully automatically in large quantities, making hologram production possible for the first time on an industrial scale.
Among the new application possibilities will be future car windshields on which information is displayed – the driver can perceive it without having to take their eyes off the road. Holographic applications on side and rear windows also support the car's digital communication with other vehicles – an important step towards autonomous driving. In the residential sector – keyword Smart Home – ZEISS technology enables completely new forms of room lighting through holographic integration elements in window panes. The CES in Las Vegas showed it: The new ZEISS technology revolutionizes living environments. (hw)
