World market leader in Thuringia: Nissha – Schuster Kunststofftechnik

The company Nissha – Schuster Kunststofftechnik recently had multiple reasons to celebrate in Waltershausen, western Thuringia: The specialist for the production of demanding plastic parts inaugurated a new hall complex after just 15 months of construction, allowing it to expand its business into innovative paper injection molding. At the same time, the company received a certificate from Thuringia's Economics Minister Wolfgang Tiefensee and LEG authorized signatory and department head Dr. Arnulf Wulff, honoring it as one of Thuringia's "Hidden Champions“.
The inauguration guests brought the award as a hidden champion with them.

With the “Hidden Champions Campaign“, the Ministry and LEG honor companies that are world market or technology leaders in their field. The Waltershausen-based company, which belongs to the Nissha Group headquartered in Kyoto, Japan, meets the criteria for inclusion in the circle of champions. Having been extremely successful so far in the market for innovative plastic parts – primarily for the interiors of premium automotive brands – it will, as part of its expansion, also produce fully recyclable trays (workpiece carriers) in the future – entirely sustainably from the renewable raw material paper. The company invested three million euros in the new hall construction and the systems in Thuringia. At the inauguration and certificate handover, guests were given insights into the production site as part of a tour. (hw)
