With the topping-out ceremony for the new logistics center, N3 Engine Overhaul Services has reached another important milestone in the expansion of its site at Erfurt Crossing. The logistics center is the largest sub-project of the ongoing investment program with which the joint venture of Lufthansa Technik and Rolls-Royce is investing more than 150 million euros in the future of the Arnstadt site. Just recently, the company also celebrated another significant success: the overhaul of the 2,000th engine since operations began in Arnstadt.
In the future, all material flows will be consolidated in the new building. The centerpiece is an approximately 26-meter-high automated high-bay warehouse that, together with modern storage and logistics systems, will ensure even more efficient processes. This enables N3 to create the conditions for further growth and an increasing number of engine overhauls.
The project underscores N3's and its shareholders' long-term commitment to Thuringia as a business location and strengthens the role of Erfurter Kreuz as a significant industrial and aviation location in Germany.
