The Thuringian Hidden Champions campaign is growing steadily and has recently been able to welcome another company. EuroLam GmbH has been newly recognized as the 96th and newest member. With the Hidden Champions campaign (hidden winners) in Thuringia, the Free State and its state development company (LEG Thüringen) honor world market and technology leaders based here. EuroLam GmbH may now also call itself such a “Champion“. Representatives of LEG Thüringen visited the company headquarters to present the certificate of appointment.
EuroLam GmbH is an internationally operating company based in Wiegendorf (Weimarer Land). With innovative louver solutions, the company is a sought-after partner for demanding construction projects worldwide and is internationally one of the leading providers of louver window systems, natural smoke and heat exhaust ventilators (NSHEV), and special constructions. EuroLam has a large product portfolio for natural supply and exhaust ventilation, smoke extraction, as well as for efficient weather, sun, and sound protection.
The company was founded in 1997 by shareholder Ernst Hommer. Under the management of Henning Röper, it currently supplies louvre windows worldwide. With its extensive product range of louvre windows, NRWGs, various accessories, and cityLam system greening, EuroLam makes significant contributions to achieving social and ecological goals.
The company's development progressed rapidly: in 1998, it received its first international order from the University of Manchester. In 1999, construction of the first in-house production hall was completed, followed by a second one a year later. The horizon quickly expanded beyond Europe: Shinjo Station in Tokyo received louvered windows from Wiegendorf, as did the University of Sheffield (England), the Botanical Garden in Oman, and the Africa House at Dresden Zoo. The list of references is long. Currently, nearly 50 employees work at the Wiegendorf site.
In addition to innovative and market-leading products, the company is also distinguished by its social commitment. For years, EuroLam has been supporting the children's and youth hospice in Tambach-Dietharz as an official sponsor.
