Thuringian companies benefit from trips to foreign markets

In autumn, a 60-member delegation from the Free State traveled to Chile, led by Minister-President Bodo Ramelow in his capacity as President of the Bundesrat. Priority topics concerned the areas of “Renewable Energies & Mining” as well as university cooperations. A delegation under Economics Minister Wolfgang Tiefensee visited India – there, among other things, successful talks were held on the takeover of trainees from the Gedee Technical Training Institute (Coimbatore) by Thuringian companies. A market exploration trip to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan also opened up further interesting options. The aim here was to explore Central Asia as an economic region and to deepen existing approaches. In the future, a delegation trip is planned to Thuringia's most important export market: from January 28 to February 3, Thuringia's State Secretary for Economic Affairs, Dr. Katja Böhler, will travel to the USA, to Texas and California, as well as to the leading trade fair Photonics West 2023.
