Thuringian city scores in city ranking

For the umpteenth time, the Swiss Prognos AG – known for publishing a wide variety of studies – compiled a Germany-wide city ranking. In this case, 71 cities with more than 100,000 inhabitants were examined. The focus was on the categories of ecology, mobility, social affairs, work, and digitalization. In addition to the status quo, dynamics also played a role, i.e., development over a certain period of time. And it was precisely here that the Thuringian university city of Jena scored points, landing in first place – ahead of Ulm, Chemnitz, and Osnabrück. The state capital Erfurt also made it into the top 5 in terms of dynamics – followed by Magdeburg, Dresden, and Leipzig. (maa)
