"Sondershausen will become the gateway to the world," WAGO Managing Director Heiner Lang recently announced. With 50 million euros, the family-owned company is implementing the largest single investment in the company's history. In Thuringia, WAGO is not only expanding the existing warehouse, but is also building a high-bay warehouse with the latest technology on an area of 11,000 square meters. Up to 12,000 orders per day are expected to be processed once it goes into operation at the end of 2024. According to Heiner Lang, the company's extensive commitment in Thuringia was not least due to the know-how at the location.
In nearby Kölleda, Funkwerk AG invested nearly ten million euros in the production of train radio technology and information systems for travelers at train stations, such as the new generation of train information monitors. A new administrative building was also constructed. (hw)
