At the IAA in Hanover, Thuringia presents its competencies and potentials

IAA Transportation 2024 trade fair takes place from September 17 to 22 in Hanover / Thuringian joint booth with six exhibitors / booth event on September 18

ERFURT_ This is currently the most important platform for the future of the commercial vehicle industry, and Thuringia is part of it: At the IAA Transportation 2024, the world's leading trade fair for mobility, transport and logistics, six Thuringian exhibitors are presenting themselves at a joint stand of the Free State. The fair takes place from Tuesday, September 17 to Sunday, September 22 in Hanover; Thuringia presents itself in Hall 13 / C44. On Tuesday, September 17, Thuringia's Minister of Economic Affairs Wolfgang Tiefensee will visit the fair and exchange ideas with the Thuringian exhibitors at the joint stand. On Wednesday, September 18, Thuringia invites to a stand event from 6 p.m., bringing together the players from the Free State with external partners and customers.

"Questions about the future of mobility are among the most important social and economic policy challenges of the present, and the automotive industry worldwide, as well as in our state, is facing an unprecedented process of change and the management of a wide variety of tasks against this backdrop," says LEG Managing Director Andreas Krey. LEG organizes the joint booth on behalf of the Thuringian Ministry of Economic Affairs. "Participation in the IAA offers the best opportunity to highlight Thuringian competencies and potential, to establish and expand Contacte with partners and customers, and to follow the latest trends in the industry."

The IAA Transportation 2024 takes place every two years, alternating with the IAA Mobility in Munich. The former focuses primarily on commercial vehicles, including trucks, tractor units, motor coaches, and special-purpose vehicles, as well as trailers and containers. The topics in the coming days are diverse, fully in line with the holistic approach with which the trade fair aims to illuminate the field of mobility. Key areas of interest include commercial vehicles with various drive systems – for example, electric or hydrogen-powered – connected, automated long-distance truck fleets, driverless people movers, and e-cargo bikes. For Thuringian exhibitors, there are many points of contact for discussions and professional exchange.

The following companies and institutions are represented at the joint stand.

  • Automotive Network Transformation Thuringia (ANeTT), Erfurt
  • FRAMO GmbH in cooperation with FES GmbH, Löbichau, Zwickau
  • automotive thuringia e.V., Erfurt
  • Sedlmayer GmbH, Triptis
  • Nidec GPM GmbH, Merbelsrod
  • Thuringian State Development Company mbH, Erfurt
