Thuringia International connects worldwide: Corporate and delegation trips in the second half of 2026

A record export quota of 38% for Thuringia in 2025 demonstrates that the foreign sales of Thuringian industry are becoming increasingly important for the economic development of the Free State. Effective support through delegation and business trips is therefore all the more crucial for international market development

Never before has the share of foreign sales in the total revenue of industrial companies with more than 50 employees in Thuringia been as high as in 2025 – and this trend continued in the first half of this year with monthly export quotas sometimes exceeding 40%. Developing new markets, expanding international collaborations, and direct exchange with potential business partners are therefore becoming increasingly important success factors.

To continue supporting international business as effectively as possible, LEG will again organize numerous delegation and company trips in the second half of 2026. With a diverse program spanning four continents, the focus will be on future-oriented industries, technological innovations, and new business opportunities, as well as established markets. From America to Asia and Europe, and on to Africa and the Middle East, Thuringian companies can establish valuable Contact and expand their international networks.

Key elements of Thuringian delegation and corporate trips include networking events, market and industry briefings, meetings with associations, and visits to renowned companies and research institutions. Delegation trips also include attending political appointments and promoting Thuringia as a business location, for example, through targeted investor events. While corporate trips focus on a purely economic agenda, politically supported delegation trips also utilize political Contact as a gateway for businesses.

More specifically, the planned delegation trips in the second half of 2026 will take place in the MERCOSUR region, specifically to Argentina and Brazil, as well as in our neighboring country Poland. Business trips are becoming increasingly important for the markets South Korea, Northern Italy, South Africa, Vietnam & Thailand as well as Israel organized.
