The share of foreign sales in total sales of industrial companies with more than 50 employees in Thuringia has never been as high as in 2025 – and this trend continued in the first half of this year with monthly export ratios sometimes exceeding 40%. The development of new markets, the expansion of international cooperation, and direct exchange with potential business partners are therefore becoming increasingly important success factors.
To continue supporting international business as effectively as possible, LEG is organizing numerous delegation and business trips again in the second half of 2026, among other things: With a diverse program on four continents, the focus is on future industries, technological innovations and new business opportunities, as well as established markets. From America via Asia and Europe to Africa and the Middle East, Thuringian companies can make valuable Contacte and expand international networks.
Key elements of Thuringian delegation and business trips are network events, market and industry briefings, meetings with associations, as well as visits to renowned companies and research institutions. In addition, political appointments are attended during delegation trips, and the Thuringian business location is promoted, e.g., through targeted investor events. While business trips focus purely on an economic agenda, politically flanked delegation trips also use political Contacte as door openers for the economy.
Specifically, the planned delegation trips in the second half of 2026 will lead to the MERCOSUR region, namely to Argentina and Brazil, as well as to our neighboring country Poland. Business trips are organized for the markets South Korea, Northern Italy, South Africa, Vietnam & Thailand as well as Israel organized.
