In the Ilmenau town hall, Colette Boos-John, Thuringian Minister for Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Rural Development (TMWLLR) since December, will welcome you to an exchange with Torsten Herrmann, President of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Southern Thuringia, and Andreas Krey, Managing Director of LEG Thüringen – TMWLLR, LEG, and the Working Group of Thuringian Chambers of Industry and Commerce are the organizers of the AWT (Working Group of Thuringian Chambers of Industry and Commerce). To set the mood, Franziska Schenk, former world-class speed skater, will provide an inspiring motivational speech based on her experiences as a top athlete with a successful drive for success and peak performance. A fireside chat between Minister Boos-John and Franziska Schenk will then offer a more proactive look at the future, addressing the question of what the prospects for Thuringian foreign trade will be in the coming years. This outlook on future opportunities will be continued in a panel discussion with experts, where, among others, the German company WILO SE will demonstrate how it reacts to geopolitical trends, adapts its business model in the world, and how Thuringian SMEs can benefit from this.
A key component of the event is the presentation of positive examples of how Thuringian companies have successfully advanced their international business. The accompanying exhibition, featuring success stories from companies, universities, clusters, and associations, offers a wealth of information on this topic. Selected participants will present their successes and experiences on stage, sparking discussion; all attendees can gain practical insights and renewed motivation for their own business from the examples presented. As in previous years at the AWT, the numerous opportunities for in-depth exchange with our international representatives and experts are an attractive offering for all guests. For many years, these representatives have been supporting and advising Thuringian companies in China, India, Israel, Southern Africa, Vietnam, and Central Asia on our behalf. Experts from a wide range of countries, from Brazil to Morocco and from Taiwan to Georgia, will also be available for informative dialogue.
"Thuringia in the World – Today. Tomorrow. Together" – this year's Thuringian Foreign Trade Day once again provides a platform offering you a wealth of information, new opportunities, motivation, and diverse Contact .
