On December 18, 2023, the second ITF Forum took place at the COMCENTER Brühl in Erfurt. Together with around 130 participants, Thuringia's Minister of Infrastructure Susanna Karawanskij was informed about the ITF project and its implementation in the model region Saale-Orla-Kreis|Landkreis Saalfeld-Rudolstadt as well as in the designated focus region Schmalkalden-Meiningen | Hildburghausen | Suhl. An extensive panel discussion provided the appropriate framework for a targeted professional discussion along with new impulses for the project in Thuringia.
The response has shown: The interest in and the necessity for the successful implementation of the ITF project in Thuringia remains unbroken. Interesting discussions arose on the sidelines of the event – also with participants from neighboring federal states. This may give rise to regional cooperation approaches across state borders, which could be advantageous for ITF planning and thus for public transport users.
The next ITF forum will take place on December 13, 2024 at the LEG business location COMCENTER Brühl Erfurt.
