SIOS Meßtechnik GmbH from Ilmenau impressed in the 29th round of the "TOP 100 Innovators" competition and, on the occasion of the award ceremony by Ranga Yogeshwar, received the seal for its excellent innovation management. According to Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke, scientific director of TOP 100, only the most innovative mid-sized companies receive this award, as they are excellently equipped for future challenges. The company, founded in Ilmenau in 1991, develops and manufactures laser interferometric and other precision measuring instruments. They are used, among other things, in the automotive industry for measuring body parts and engines, or for non-contact, high-resolution vibration measurement for the production of miniature sensors for mobile phones, etc. According to its own information, SIOS, with its nanopositioning and nanomeasuring machine NMM, has the world's most accurate positioning system and is thus the global market leader. In addition to the creativity of its employees, close cooperation with TU Ilmenau and other research institutions is an important foundation for its success. (maa)
