It is an astonishing pace that packaging specialist Papacks Sales GmbH is setting in Arnstadt, Thuringia: in 2020, the company put its first gigafactory into operation at the site, the second hall was ceremoniously opened at the end of June – and managing directors Tahsin Dag and Werner Sempell are already intensively planning the third gigafactory, which will also include a research institute. Thuringia is proving to be an ideal location for Papacks for a consistent corporate expansion, and the guarantors of success are the investor's innovative, sustainable products: packaging that is plastic-free and biodegradable. As with the first step, the company invested around 14 million euros in the second gigafactory, and the world's first fiber casting bottle machine will soon be manufactured here. “Papacks stands for highly innovative manufacturing technology and forward-looking products“, says Andreas Krey, Managing Director of LEG, which has accompanied the company in Thuringia from the very beginning. “The investment and technology location Thuringia is experiencing a considerable enrichment through the remarkable commitment of the company.“ (hw)
