In July, the company, which specializes in modern roof waterproofing, laid the foundation stone for its new production hall in the Gothaer Straße industrial park in Waltershausen. "As part of our growth strategy, we are focusing on Thuringia as an important, future-oriented production location. Part of our roots are here, and we want to continue growing here," said Christian Steyrer, VP Operations CARLISLE CM Europe. Production is scheduled to begin in the new hall in 2022. The expansion will create 25 new jobs at the Thuringian site. The new hall will increase the plant's total interior area to 17,000 square meters. New machinery for manufacturing the special waterproofing membranes will also be acquired. The products are successful in the market, as the material can be applied to almost any substrate and welded using a hot air gun without an open flame. The group's parent company is Carlisle Construction Materials, headquartered in the USA, with gross annual sales of nearly four billion US dollars. LEG has been supporting and assisting Carlisle's business development in Waltershausen for eight years as part of its full-service investment program, assisting with the establishment and further development of the company. The total investment in western Thuringia is Carlisle Construction Materials GmbH's largest in Europe.
