ERFURT_ Especially during the Advent season, the Bummi department store, run by the AWO Alten-, Jugend- und Sozialhilfe (AJS) gGmbH, is in high demand – parents who are not doing well financially shop here on Erfurt's Thomasstraße and buy toys, clothing, or other gifts for their little ones for the most beautiful holiday of the year. For many, this is the only way to surprise their loved ones under the Christmas tree with a nice present. The employees of LEG Thüringen are aware of this and have collected again this year: Numerous moving boxes full of games, puzzles, dolls, stuffed animals, books, art supplies, clothing, shoes, as well as scooters, inline skates, and bicycle helmets – new and used – came together during the donation campaign.
The joyful and useful gifts were presented on Thursday, December 15, 2022, by department head Anke Kalb and Simone Otto from LEG's Personnel and Skilled Workforce Management department; the donation was received by Sonja Tragboth from AJS and Maria Böwe, full‑time employee at the Bummi department store. “We are pleased with the great commitment of our female and male employees“, said Andreas Krey and Sabine Wosche, management of LEG, on the occasion of the handover. “That we give joy with this donation shortly before Christmas has now become a good tradition – ten years ago, in December 2012, we carried out this action for the first time.“
