On Wednesday, March 19, 2025, the time has come again: For the now 17th edition of the Thuringian Foreign Trade Day, we invite you this year to the Stadthalle in Ilmenau. There, Colette Boos-John, Thuringia's Minister for Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Rural Areas (TMWLLR) since December, will welcome you as part of an exchange with Torsten Herrmann, President of the IHK Südthüringen, and Andreas Krey, Managing Director of the LEG Thüringen – TMWLLR, LEG and the working group of the Thuringian IHKs are the organizers of the AWT. Thematically, the Foreign Trade Day will focus in particular on Thuringia's strengths and opportunities in international business. It should be noted that the Free State was able to further expand its export business last year despite the difficult framework conditions.
A key component of the event is the presentation of positive examples of how Thuringian stakeholders have successfully advanced their international business. The accompanying exhibition with success stories from companies, universities, clusters, and associations provides a wealth of information on this topic. Selected stakeholders will present their successes and experiences on stage, inviting discussion; all participants can gain practical insights and new motivation for their own business from the examples shown. In addition, the diverse opportunities for intensive exchange with our foreign representatives and experts, as every year at the AWT, offer an attractive program for all guests.
