ERFURT_ It is an anniversary to celebrate for young and old: The LEG company daycare center in the Erfurt district of Brühl has now been in existence for ten years. It represents an innovative cooperation project between the city of Erfurt and Thuringian companies under the leadership of LEG. The facility, which is operated by the AWO, offers a total of 120 childcare places. The city of Erfurt is involved with 60 places, and seven companies occupy the other 60 places. The pedagogical concept is characterized by a scientific orientation; in addition, the children are introduced to the English language.
„The 'Kita im Brühl' is a place where over the past ten years many children have been able to play and learn“, says LEG managing director Sabine Wosche. „It especially makes a valuable contribution to the compatibility of work and family, because the employees of partner companies benefit from professional care of their children and short commutes. Our special thanks go to our partners, the AWO, the city and the involved companies, for a very good collaboration on equal footing and always in the interest of our children and the Kita.“
The initiator of the "Kita im Brühl" was LEG, which launched the project in 2014 together with the AWO and initial partner companies. Today, in addition to LEG, the following six companies are involved in the project:
