Around 100 researchers from over 20 countries discussed current developments in superconducting electronics – from quantum computing to neuromorphic computing to energy-efficient electronics. The conference was organized by the CiS Research Institute and the Leibniz-IPHT Jena and took place at the Radisson Blu Hotel.

Minister-President Mario Voigt opened the conference and emphasized Thuringia's role as an innovation hub. TU Ilmenau President Prof. Kai-Uwe Sattler highlighted the relevance of superconducting technologies for future energy needs. A highlight was the keynote by Prof. Frank Wilhelm-Mauch on the QSolid project, which develops scalable quantum computers.

ISEC 2025 provided a platform for international exchange and new collaborations – and underscored Thuringia's significance as a center for future technologies.
