The Austrian company Tekpoint operates a pan-European technology distribution ecosystem. To supply the German market in particular with smartphones, wearables, smart home products, and other consumer electronics from international brands, the company will in the future use around 20,000 m² of logistics space in the U.N.O industrial area in Nohra near Weimar. With locations in Austria, Germany, and Serbia, the company supplies customers in Western, Central, and Eastern Europe with more than 3.5 million devices annually.
The expansion is another strong signal for Thuringia's attractiveness as a high-performing logistics and economic location. At the same time, it opens up new perspectives for value creation and employment in the region.
The relocation process was accompanied by the State Development Corporation (LEG Thüringen) with its comprehensive services, such as reviewing funding opportunities, supporting administrative matters, assisting in the recruitment of skilled workers, and connecting the company with potential partners.
