In Masserberg in southern Thuringia, attractively located for tourists in the Thuringian Forest, the state is funding the conversion of a thermal bath into a forest bathing house. From 2023, the building will take up the theme of “forest“ in many ways – through light, sound, and materials such as wood and stone. With attractive offerings such as a panoramic sauna, a forest spa, a mountain meadow blossom pool, and a new restaurant, the bathing house aims to make forest bathing experienceable with all senses.
Above all, health is also at the center of the already realized project Waldkliniken Eisenberg (East Thuringia). Here, Managing Director David-Ruben Thies has created a hospital with an innovative concept. With regard to working conditions and atmosphere, this house is intended, through a wide range of offerings, to help patients and staff feel as comfortable as possible. Thies calls his new-style hospital a “patient hotel” – here, the name says it all. (hw)
