On around 15 hectares of core land in the three green spaces Augarten, Tüffers Garten and Lunapark, a green urban redevelopment project is being created with 1,500 events, show gardens, playgrounds, sports facilities and a “green classroom”. The small river “Ohne” is being renaturalized, new residential structures are being realized in the “Gartenstadt” and 800 garage areas have been cleared – visible signs of sustainable urban development.
A highlight is the multimedia experience world around the archaeological desertion of Kirrode, funded with EU-LEADER funds. In addition, a church pavilion is being created with the motto “Earthly – Heavenly Wide” – a place of peace and community in the green.
The State Garden Show 2026 not only brings nature and cultural experiences, but also promotes sustainable urban development and strengthens regional identity.
