ERFURT_ It has now become a nice tradition, and the staff of LEG Thüringen made it a full dozen this year with their willingness to give and share joy: This year, the employees of the state company collected for the twelfth time for the Bummi department store on Erfurt's Thomasstraße. The department store is under the auspices of AWO Alten-, Jugend- und Sozialhilfe (AJS) gGmbH.
Together a large variety of books, toys and children's clothing arrived. “Also extraordinary gifts such as a doll kitchen, a children's workbench, school bags and a children's rug were included“, say Andreas Krey and Sabine Wosche, management of LEG. “We are glad that our staff has been contributing since 2012 during Advent time with beautiful gifts to bring joy to children from low‑income families for the holiday .“
Stored in countless boxes and cartons, the useful goods made their way to Erfurt's Thomasstraße: Today, Thursday, November 30, 2023, Anke Kalb, LEG Head of Personnel and Skilled Workforce Management, presented the donation to Sonja Tragboth, Head of Child and Youth Welfare at the AWO State Association. At the Bummi-Kaufhaus, parents with low incomes can purchase toys and clothing for their little ones at affordable prices. For many, this is the only way to surprise their loved ones with a nice gift under the Christmas tree.
