ERFURT_ The Thuringia Sustainability Agreement (NAT) – the largest network for sustainable business in the Free State – awarded LEG a NAT certificate this Wednesday, June 11. LEG has been participating in the network since 2013 and now for the fifth consecutive time. For this long-standing commitment, it now receives NAT permanent status. LEG Managing Director Andreas Krey accepted the certificate at LEG's headquarters in Erfurt from Grit Booth, head of the NAT office.
"Sustainability has many facets for us – with our equitable HR work, we offer diverse professional development opportunities as well as a fair remuneration system. In addition, we have preventive health management to keep our workforce fit in the long term,“ said Andreas Krey on the occasion of the certificate handover. The award is given for voluntary contributions in all three areas of sustainability: economy, ecology, and social issues. LEG scored particularly well in social sustainability. A key factor was that the state-owned company has been a holder of the TOTAL E-QUALITY award for many years – the association of the same name has repeatedly recognized LEG's merits in promoting equal opportunities and diversity within its company. "We promote work-life balance, gender equality, health maintenance, and diversity with the goal of higher motivation, meaningful work, and performance across the entire company,“ summarized Andreas Krey.
"I am pleased that LEG, as a partner and supporter of the Thuringian economy, has been engaged in NAT for twelve years," said Grit Booth. "Especially such multipliers like LEG are needed in the network."
Background:
For over 20 years (founded in March 2004), the Thuringia Sustainability Agreement (NAT) has existed as a voluntary agreement between the Thuringian state government and the Thuringian economy. In the meantime, with currently around 750 participants, the NAT has established itself as the largest network in the Free State, which is based on voluntariness and is organized by the economy itself. The NAT brings together actors on issues of sustainable business. All participants in the alliance are united by the basic understanding of sustainable development and the will to take responsibility for future generations.
