Desay Automotive: Strong growth in Weimar

The Chinese company Desay Automotive Europe GmbH is expanding significantly in Central Thuringia: The company recently officially opened its new production and logistics center at its new location at Schwanseestraße 143 in Weimar. Forty jobs will be created here for the production of radios, displays, and other infotainment solutions for future vehicle models.

Originally, the components were assembled, tested, stored, and shipped from a site in Hungary. The company management decided to relocate to Weimar, a location where Desay already has a significant presence: In the Weimar-Legefeld industrial park, the company operates a development center and prototype laboratory where manufacturers equip and test their pre-production vehicles ("prototypes"). A state-of-the-art 3D antenna measurement chamber and a laboratory and office building are also under construction there. The company has ambitious plans for Thuringia, aiming to increase its workforce to 300 by 2025. (hw)
