Delegation trip to Central Asia – visiting markets with a future.

Visited during the period from April 23 to 29, 2023 were the two capitals Astana and Tashkent as well as Almaty and Samarkand. Both economies are characterized by dynamic development and lucrative potential for investors and cooperation partners; most recently, Thuringia's foreign trade with this region has noticeably increased. LEG had already introduced Thuringian companies to the two Central Asian markets: In 2021 and 2022, there were two corresponding information events, in early autumn 2021 an online business mission to Kazakhstan/Uzbekistan, and exactly one year later a company trip with 17 firms, during which investment and cooperation opportunities in the region were explored. The delegation trip at the end of April successfully built on these activities; the Thuringian participants established new contacts or expanded existing ones and created the basis for new business and cooperation.
