Marquardt already employs around 350 people in Thuringia and will create a further 200 jobs by the end of 2025 on a building area of two hectares. "We are delighted about Marquardt's commitment," says Andreas Krey, Managing Director of LEG, which settled the company and provides areas in the industrial park. "Through this investment, the Free State will be further strengthened as an automotive and battery location."

The family-owned company is headquartered in Rietheim-Weilheim, Baden-Württemberg, and according to its own information, it is the world's leading manufacturer of mechatronic switching and control systems. In addition to battery management systems, the automotive product portfolio also includes vehicle access and driving authorization systems.
