Anniversary balance shows: LEG is a strong partner for companies

1,700 new settlements and expansion investments by companies accompanied, over 3,000 hectares of industrial areas developed, almost 50 different trade fair appearances organized at home and abroad – these are excerpts from the impressive activity balance of the LEG Thüringen over the past 30 years. It was founded in 1992, and as a 100 percent state-owned subsidiary, it performs tasks of economic development and real estate management.

The companies supported by LEG invested around 13.1 billion euros; this was associated with the creation or securing of around 82,000 jobs. A large number of global corporations were successfully won over for settlements in Thuringia, including the Chinese world market leader in battery cell production Contemporary Amperex Technology Ltd. (CATL), the Rolls-Royce/Lufthansa Technik joint venture N3 Engine Overhaul Services, and the Daimler subsidiary MDC Power GmbH. On the occasion of its 30th anniversary, LEG expanded its website and its online offerings for companies and prepared a wealth of useful information on an anniversary website. (hw)
