Anniversary report shows: LEG is a strong partner for companies

Supporting 1,700 new business establishments and expansion investments, developing over 3,000 hectares of industrial land, and organizing nearly 50 different trade fair appearances both domestically and internationally – these are excerpts from the impressive track record of LEG Thüringen over the past 30 years. Founded in 1992, this wholly owned subsidiary of the state of Thuringia is responsible for economic development and real estate management.

The companies supported by LEG invested approximately €13.1 billion, creating or securing around 82,000 jobs. A large number of global corporations were successfully attracted to Thuringia, including Contemporary Amperex Technology Ltd. (CATL), the Chinese world market leader in battery cell manufacturing; N3 Engine Overhaul Services, a Rolls-Royce/Lufthansa technology joint venture; and MDC Power GmbH, a Daimler subsidiary. To mark its 30th anniversary, LEG has expanded its website and online services for businesses, compiling a wealth of information on a dedicated anniversary website. (hw)
