The investment is being made in the industrial park "Ehrenberg-Ost", which has been successfully developed and marketed by LEG Thüringen . On a footprint equivalent to a football field, the new building creates space for modern workplaces in development, production, logistics, laboratories, and offices. "We are pleased to achieve several key goals with the new building," says Bertram Eichhorn, VP Operations and site manager of Analytik Jena Ilmenau, who is also leading the new building project. "We are generating space for further growth as well as the opportunity to bring our two Ilmenau sites under one roof." According to the company, it benefits from the framework conditions at the rapidly growing "Ehrenberg-Ost" site. The area ensures ideal conditions for an excellent CO2 footprint through the supply of local district heating from biogas. Furthermore, the new building features photovoltaic systems and a green roof, demonstrating sustainable design. For the company's employees, the investment offers an improvement in modern working conditions. "With the new building, we are making the leap to an innovative and attractive working environment, and within walking distance of the Technical University of Ilmenau," adds Grit Petzholdt-Gühne, VP Human Resources.
