German-Indian Roundtable (GIRT) "Growth Engine India: Perspectives for Thuringia"

While many of Europe's intercontinental trade flows with other world regions are currently stagnating or even declining, a completely different picture is emerging for India: Europe's trade – and in particular Germany's and Thuringia's – with India is developing extremely dynamically. But which macroeconomic trends and geopolitical developments are driving this movement? What opportunities arise from this for the Thuringian economy and what impact will these processes have in the future?

These and other questions will be the subject of this GIRTs be. We were able to win over renowned experts as speakers: First, analyst Anwita Basu of our research partner FitchSolutions provide a concise description of India's development; subsequently, South Asia expert Dr. Tobias Scholz from the German Institute for International and Security Affairs give a comprehensive overview of India's (trade) political motives and, in particular, address the free trade agreement. As a researcher in the Asia research group, Dr. Tobias Scholz already numerous Publications on India.
