German-Indian Roundtable (GIRT) "India as a Growth Engine: Perspectives for Thuringia"

While many of Europe's intercontinental trade flows with other regions of the world are currently stagnating or even declining, the picture is quite different for India: Trade between Europe – and especially Germany and Thuringia – and India is developing extremely dynamically. But what macroeconomic trends and geopolitical developments are driving this movement? What opportunities does this present for the Thuringian economy, and what impact will these processes have in the future?

These and other questions will be addressed in this GIRTs be. We were able to secure renowned experts as speakers: First, analyst Anwita Basu our research partner Fitch Solutions to provide a concise description of India's development; subsequently, a South Asia expert will.. Dr. Tobias Scholz of the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) to provide a comprehensive overview of India's (trade) policy motives, focusing in particular on the free trade agreement. As a researcher in the Asia research group, he published Dr. Tobias Scholz already numerous Publications to India.
