Topic: Technical standards and standardization in the People's Republic of China and their impact on industryAbout the speaker: Dr. Susann Lüdtke has been researching technical standardization, particularly in China, since 2013. Her research focuses on the challenges industry faces in standardization work as well as the risks arising from divergent technical standards. In 2020, she published "The Secret of Lobbying in China" - a result of extensive field research in China. Her book shows that industry plays a significant role in the development of energy efficiency standards for buildings. Further research focuses include patent-based innovation strategies, business-government relations, 'Green-Tech' and sustainability in China and other countries. Dr. Lüdtke completed her doctorate in economics at the Chair of "China Business und Economics“ at the University of Würzburg in 2017. After working as a consultant in the automotive industry, Lüdtke has been working as a consultant for patent analysis and patent management at a software company in North Rhine-Westphalia since 2018. As an associate researcher at the University of Würzburg, she conducts commissioned studies on technical standardization, quality infrastructure and corporate strategies.
