Following welcoming remarks by Chamber of Commerce President Torsten Herrmann and LEG Managing Director Andreas Krey, greetings were offered by Minister of Economic Affairs Colette Boos-John and Professor Dang Hoang Linh from the Vietnamese Embassy. Around 150 participants accepted the invitation; there is considerable interest in cooperation with the country.
Successful case studies from Thuringian companies showcased the diversity of collaborative partnerships. The panel discussion explored the potential of collaboration in a globalized world. Workshops on market entry, recruitment, and cultural understanding offered practical insights. A particular highlight was the welcoming ceremony for the new apprentices participating in the Vietnam project. The evening concluded with networking and a Thuringian-Vietnamese cultural program.
To gain firsthand experience, a business trip to Vietnam, including stops in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, is planned for the fall. Other highlights in the Thuringia International program include a delegation trip to China led by the Thuringian Minister of Economic Affairs, a market research visit to Azerbaijan, and a business trip to the Africa Tech Festival in Cape Town.
