Thuringian window manufacturing specialist receives award as "World Market and Technology Leader"

EuroLam GmbH from the Weimar region honored by LEG / Company is market leader in louvered window systems

ERFURT_

The Thuringian Hidden Champions campaign is growing steadily and has recently welcomed another company. EuroLam GmbH has been recognized as the 96th and newest member. With the Hidden Champions campaign in Thuringia, the Free State of Thuringia and its state development agency (LEG Thüringen) honor global market and technology leaders based in the region. EuroLam GmbH can now also call itself one of these "champions." Representatives from LEG Thüringen visited the company headquarters to present the certificate of appointment.
EuroLam GmbH is an internationally active company headquartered in Wiegendorf (Weimarer Land). With its innovative louver solutions, the company is a sought-after partner for demanding construction projects worldwide and is among the leading international suppliers of louvered window systems, natural smoke and heat exhaust ventilation systems (NSHEVs), and custom constructions. EuroLam offers a comprehensive product portfolio for natural ventilation, flue gas extraction, and efficient weather, sun, and noise protection.

Founded in 1997 by shareholder Ernst Hommer, the company, currently managed by Henning Röper, supplies louvered windows worldwide. With its extensive product range of louvered windows, natural smoke and heat exhaust ventilation systems (NSHEVs), various accessories, and the cityLam greening system, EuroLam makes significant contributions to achieving social and environmental goals.

The company's development progressed rapidly: in 1998, it received its first international order from the University of Manchester. The first company-owned production hall was built in 1999, followed by a second a year later. The company's reach quickly expanded beyond Europe: Shinjo Station in Tokyo received louvered windows from Wiegendorf, as did the University of Sheffield (England), the Botanic Garden in Oman, and the Africa House at the Dresden Zoo. The list of references is long. The Wiegendorf site currently employs nearly 50 people.

In addition to innovative and market-leading products, the company is also distinguished by its social commitment. For years, EuroLam has been an official sponsor of the children's and youth hospice in Tambach-Dietharz.

Background:
Thuringia operates at the forefront of the world – with high-performing medium-sized companies that have achieved either market leadership or technology leadership through innovative products and services as well as leading technologies.
Nearly one hundred such Thuringian companies rank among the best in their respective fields on the global market. The Free State of Thuringia aims to increase the visibility of these hidden champions through its campaign, not least to raise Thuringia's profile as a place to live and work.
