ERFURT – Exploring business opportunities for Thuringian companies in a promising region of the world – this is the aim of the market exploration trip to Central Asia, which a Thuringian delegation will embark on on Sunday, September 25. The destination is Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan – these two countries are the two largest economies in Central Asia and offer companies from the Free State of Thuringia diverse opportunities for business activities and cooperation. The trip is being organized by the "Thuringia International" foreign trade team of LEG; the delegation will be led by Dr. Arnulf Wulff, authorized signatory and department head at LEG. Stops on the trip, from September 25 to October 2, include the Kazakh capital Astana (formerly Nur-Sultan) and Almaty, as well as the Uzbek capital Tashkent and Samarkand.
For several years now, "Thüringen International" has dedicated numerous activities to market development in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Recent initiatives have included information events and a digital business trip ("Online Business Mission"). This has been met with a strong response from participating companies: a total of 25 company representatives, as well as representatives from research institutions and other organizations, are taking part.
